With a proven track record of delivering effective support services, in 2024, we helped house over 1,400 individuals and provided support to over 500 of our service users, helping them to achieve their personal goals and lead fulfilling lives in their new country.
We are now looking for a Community Mentor to join us on a part-time basis, working 18.75 hours per week for a one year fixed term contract with a view to becoming permanent.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Community Mentor, you will provide one-to-one guidance and group support to refugees and migrants, helping them to build confidence, develop skills, and take positive steps towards their future.
Your role is central to empowering individuals through tailored advice, wellbeing workshops, and practical support that strengthens their ability to integrate and thrive.
Day to day, you’ll design and deliver workshops focused on wellbeing and community integration, while offering personalised advice to help clients set goals, identify strengths, and grow resilience.
You’ll also support language acquisition by attending ESOL classes with clients and creating opportunities for them to practise English in real-life scenarios.
Additionally, you will:
- Support clients in attending job fairs, ACH events, and other opportunities in the community
- Provide in-work guidance for clients during their first three months of employment
- Act as the first point of contact at workshops and events, creating a safe and inclusive space
What We’re Looking For
To join us as a Community Mentor, you will need:
- Experience offering mentoring, advice, and guidance to service users
- Demonstrable experience working with refugees, migrants, and asylum seekers
- Knowledge of Information Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) guidelines and framework
- Knowledge of community provision to support wellbeing
- To be at least Level 2 qualified in English Language
