Why We Do What We Do

Our mission goes beyond individual support; we actively challenge and disrupt the systems that perpetuate inequalities in our society. With a proven track record of delivering effective support services, in 2024, we helped house over 1,400 individuals and provided support to over 500 of our service users, helping them to achieve their personal goals and lead fulfilling lives in their new country.

We are now looking for a Support and Integration Officer to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37.5 hours per week.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Support and Integration Officer, you will deliver high-quality support and guidance to help refugees successfully resettle and integrate into their new communities.

Taking ownership of your caseload, you will conduct pre-tenancy assessments and create personalised support plans to address the diverse needs of service users. Through this, you will provide practical advice on areas such as housing, health, education, and employment.

Alongside one-to-one work, you will build connections with local organisations, facilitate group activities, and ensure that individuals are able to access wider opportunities and services available to them.

Additionally, you will:

- Make referrals to relevant departments and partner agencies
- Maintain accurate case records and files to a high standard
- Participate fully in team meetings, training, supervision, and other staff activities
- Organise house meetings and carry out property and community visits

What We’re Looking For

To be considered as a Support and Integration Officer, you will need:

- Experience of working with asylum seekers or refugees in a voluntary or paid capacity
- Experience of providing advice and guidance, advocacy and culturally sensitive support
- Experience and knowledge of working with people with complex/multiple support needs
- Experience and capability to support refugees in the UK
- The ability to effectively assess, manage and continuously review needs and risks
- The ability to maintain accurate records and manage a caseload
- Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A full, valid driving licence and access to a vehicle

Due to the nature of this post, an enhanced DBS check will be undertaken for successful applicants, but only with their prior consent.

The closing date for this role is 1st October 2025.
